Hello beautiful people!
How is the week? I am recovering from events of the past days. I entered a state of mind I can only describe as the extreme opposite of an 'artist block'. Trust me when I say it was not a place to be in. I was so consumed it had some negative effects.
One night, I stayed up till 5 am working around a portrait. Still without sleeping, I went about my day. By noon of that, I attended a social event where I had a curious experience one might link to my exhausted state.
Yesterday, I was too tired to turn away from the truth. It had been ridiculous but I just wanted to start something and get somewhere being someone who had plans and was going somewhere with them. I intend to stay away from my pencil until further notice.
Silver lining? I reconnected and finished this portrait;

Incidentally, I stated earlier that people make you vulnerable but they also have a way of drawing you out of your weaknesses. Today I say;
Look not on fragility, welcome love.
Hmmm, that line is served with extra cheese, I love it!
