Could Have it all if You Stay Dreaming
It’s a Bunnygirl|Artblocks Don’t Exist Part 1
Hey there, how was your weekend?
So lately, I’ve been talking to myself a lot about a ton of stuff and I mean that literally and that’s because I started using Google transcribe for my blog posts for the multitasking ease. I could just sip tea while talking, cook and do the dishes while talking, draw while talking… and then edit a.k.a make it juicy, and post. I love it so don’t mind me if I start getting poetic, I get that way when I’m in my zone. Might be over the top but it’s for my amusement and maybe yours too, hopefully.
Now back to the gist for today cause I did use a click bait so I need to justify it.
In the realm of creativity, finding 'inspiration' can often feel like chasing a elusive dream. As someone who regularly engages with artists, I've come across a common hurdle: the notorious 'art block.' But here's the surprising truth – it's not always the mysterious culprit responsible for sabotaging our creative spirit and leaving us with blank canvases and sighs. The reason is simple, except for the mental issues that comes with life’s trials and struggles which could lead cause an artblock, I don’t think artblocks exist.
Pause: New Art Alert
I finished this portrait I started last week and I love it so much. One thing I like to practice is repeating an idea or design for several reasons, one of which is the I want to repeat the process as soon as possible so I doubt forget (which means I'm going to have another bunny girl soon).
Here she is!

What truly exists is the challenge in recognizing and embracing inspiration when it comes knocking. Many artists are on the hunt for that grand idea, a tale to tell, a profound narrative to weave into their art. When you listen to a lot of collectors wanting to Bluetooth connection with your art, you can’t blame anyone for wanting to show their best and nothing but the best. The I'll only follow the yellow brick road and nothing and expect to find the rabbit that'll lead me to Wonderland.(Okay, that last sentence was over pushed). And while that quest is indeed admirable, waiting for the metaphorical apple to fall from the tree of creativity can be a tad impractical.
Well then, you've pointed out a problem, what's the way forward? You're probably asking. The answer.....
If you stuck around long enough to get here, thank you. You've been reading the inner mind of the lesser known artist coming up every Monday and Saturday. This has been a two part series to be continued on Saturday. I hope you enjoyed the art and talk.
Take care and stay safe
