Need A Little Fantasy
As an artist, time is both my friend and my foe. It is the constant ticking of the clock that drives me forward, that reminds me of the fleeting nature of existence, that pushes me to create with urgency and purpose. But at the same time, time can be a cruel mistress, stealing moments and memories from me, leaving me with nothing but the bitter taste of regret.
Every stroke of my brush, every line on my canvas, is an attempt to capture a moment in time, to freeze a fleeting emotion or sensation in perpetuity. But as much as I try, I know that I will never truly be able to stop time. My paintings may endure, but they are mere echoes of the past, faint whispers of a moment that can never be fully recaptured.
And yet, despite this knowledge, I continue to create. I continue to pour my soul onto the canvas, to leave a piece of myself behind for future generations to discover( I hope). For even though time may be a thief, it is also a gift, a precious commodity that should be cherished and celebrated.
And so I paint on, each stroke a tribute to the passage of time, a reminder of our shared mortality, and a celebration of the beauty that can be found in even the most fleeting of moments. For in the end, it is not the length of our lives that matters, but the depth of our experiences, the richness of our memories, and the beauty that we leave behind.
